Federal Programs
The Office of Federal Programs provides leadership and technical assistance through the responsible and effective use of federal program dollars to support quality education for every child in the West Jasper School District. Through a consolidated approach to planning and operation, the office supports federal, state, and district initiatives and needs. Revenue sources include Title I, Title II, Title IV, and Title V.
Title I, Part A
The West Jasper School District uses Title 1 funds in all of our K-12 schools. Each K-12 school operates a Title I Schoolwide Program. Each school develops a continuous improvement plan based on needs identified within the school. The Title 1 school plans include evidence-based strategies for improving student achievement and family engagement strategies.
Title II, Part A
The West Jasper School District receives Title II funds to support high quality professional development that improves the knowledge of all teachers and principals in the district.
Title IV, Part A
The West Jasper School District receives Title IV funds that authorizes activities in three broad areas: well-rounded education, safe and healthy school activities, and the effective use of technology.
Title V
The West Jasper School District receives Title V funds to address the unique needs of small, rural, local education agencies. Funds made available under this program shall be used to supplement, not supplant, any other federal, state, or local education funds.
